Luv The Grub was founded by Alia Sunderji, a social entrepreneur and Sustainable Innovation Lecturer at Simon Fraser University. Inspired by student research and her passion for poverty alleviation, Luv The Grub partners with farmers and markets to mitigate all those bumped, bruised but equally delicious fruits and vegetables from entering the landfill as well as non-profits including Frog Hollow Neighbourhood House’s Drive Youth Employment Services in the creation of a paid employment training program for individuals with barriers to employment.
Luv The Grub would not be possible without the support of Seeds of Change Surrey; a collective impact initiative that foster increased food security by focusing on food availability, access, literacy and addresses the income of disadvantaged populations that may benefit from increased food security. We are extremely thankful to Frog Hollow Neighbourhood House for embarking on this project with us and for their in-kind donation of commercial kitchen space for the production of Luv The Grub products.
